Prairie Fairies

When Ezekiel told Heather that the country had good things that the city didn't, she didn't believe him. What could the country possibly have that big cities didn't? Besides cows and pick-up trucks? And when she went to visit his prairie home, it only strengthened this belief. That is until he took her to a field the evening before she went home. They sat down under a tree, when she asked what they were doing there he told her to be patient.

Despite that, she soon grew quite impatient. She was about to ask just what was so special about this spot, when a firefly flitted into the field. Then another, and another. Soon the air was full of thousands of little balls of light. He told her that his mother called them "Prairie Fairies", she could see why. She had to admit; the city had nothing like this. And when she went home the next day, she realized there was one other good thing the country had that the city didn't. Him.
